IR Photography

Black and White photography has always had a huge following and more and more people who love black and white photography are experimenting with IR Photography.  IR Photography is infrared photography, that is, only the infrared light spectrum is recorded.  These images create fairytale like landscapes where trees are white and skies are dark.  While digital cameras have difficulties with IR because they are IR shielded, IR photography is a great excuse to dig out your old film camera.

$200 Million Ansel Adams Photographs Found At Yard Sale

People either love or hate yard sales.  Rick Norsigian’s yard sale find may just change how some folks feel about yard sales.  Ten years ago Norsigian bought 2 boxes of glass plate negatives at a yard sale for $45.  Those two boxes contained 65 glass plate negatives that included images known to have been taken by Ansel Adams but believed lost in a darkroom fire.  It has taken 10 years to prove that the photographs were taken by Ansel Adams but now an art appraiser says that the collection, which includes some images never before printed, may be worth $200 million.  Yard sale this weekend anyone?
